Greetings! I'm Joe, and I'd like to thank you for visiting my website. Since I've benefitted so much from the free exchange of information available on the Internet, I'd like to do my part by sharing some of the great programs and places on the web that I've discovered. Enjoy!

The daily motivator

Looking for a positive place on the web that has a new message for you every day? Then look no further than the Daily Motivator! If you like the sample text printed on the icon, then click on it to read the rest of what Ralph Marston has to say. The Daily Motivator is something that I visit regularly, and that's a fact. Simply the best!

Toastmasters.org
Since 1924, Toastmaster's mission is "to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn, fosters self-confidence and personal growth." Folks, this is a gold mine of a club that has helped me grow in many ways. My only regret? I should've joined sooner! But seriously, everyone owes it to themselves to visit at least one Toastmaster meeting. I'm a proud member of "At The River's Edge" Toastmasters (club 9474, District 7).

Rottentomatoes.com
...And the winner for the best movie website goes to: Rotten Tomatoes! They collects dozens of movie reviews which are organized in a clear, easy to use format. So when you're trying to decide on a movie to watch at the theater or if you need a film database, throw a rotten tomato!

Hiroshima's website

An outstanding band of third generation Japanese-Americans from Los Angeles with a great "east-west" fusion sound that I've been listening to since the 80s. I've collected all of their CDs because I love how their music adds color to life.

Joe's JLPT page!
Here is my website dedicated to the "JLPT", the Japanese language proficiency test. If you're planning to register and would like to learn how you can get a higher score, or if you're curious about the test, click on the flashing "Erande" (choose) icon to enter "Joe's JLPT page."

Launchcast
Launchcast dot com plays your favorite music, delivered to your computer with high-quality streamed audio. Unlike other internet radio stations, launchcast dot com gives individual users their own personalized station, totally customizable to what they like and dislike. In other words, my launchcast dot com station will play my special song on occasion and introduce a band to me that plays my favorite genre of music. Meanwhile, the stuff that I call "noise pollution" never gets touched. I have my own radio station (joepark01), so go get yours!

Worldtime.org

Worldtime dot org, an award winning website, gives you international time with an interactive globe. Instead of using a flat & boring analog clock website, I use this cool 3-D atlas! It comes in handy before I make an international call, so I don't get anyone out of bed in the middle of the night.

Goalpro

Design, manage, focus on, and achieve your goals with Success Studio's Goalpro. A 30-day trial version of this powerful program is available, so what are you waiting for? Your future is at stake!

Elder wisdom circle

Seeking help from people who have life experience is a good thing. Getting their advice for free is even better! No matter what kind of dilemma you are dealing with in your life, the people at Elder Wisdom Circle dot com have been there and done that before some of us were even "here." My advice is to visit them today!

Roboform
In real life, filling out forms on paper is a tedious chore. However, online forms are another story when you use "Roboform." For personal or business, this program makes filling in those fields a cinch and it's customizable to make your online life even easier. It's free, and you'll wonder how you ever got along without it!

Onion.com

The outward appearance of Onion dot com has the look of a "USA Today" newspaper but the content is pure humor. This onion will have you crying in laughter!

maps.google.com

If a car navigator is too expensive, then let google dot com's online map utility show you how to get to your next destination. No more sketchy directions from over the phone or asking the local gas station attendant. Finally, getting from point "a" to "b" has been made easier!

Virtual flash cards

We still have to learn things manually, but your computer can help with "Virtual Flash Cards." Of all the flash card programs that I've used, VFC has proven to be the most helpful. Maybe one day we will be able to download information directly into our brains like they do in "The Matrix," but until then I'll be using VFC.

Cam development's diary program

If a life is worth living, then it's worth recording. If you ask me, Alpha Realm's "My Personal Diary" is definately worth buying! When they created this program, they covered all of the bases: it runs smoothly, it's easy to use, and it has all the ideal features. Can you find a better personal journal program than what Alpha Realm has to offer? Not in this lifetime!

Royal Canadian Air Force's 5BX program I recommend the Royal Canadian 5BX exercise program for the following reasons: It only takes minutes (15 at the most) which even the busiest of us can handle, you don't break a sweat, and therefore there is little cool-down time or wet clothes when you're done. It requires no equipment, these exercises can be done in a place with as little as 6 foot by 4 foot space (bedroom, basement, hotel, etc), it's rather easy to remember, it's graded so you can progress steadily with the accompanying sense of achievement (or drop back a level if you miss a few days/weeks), and it works all of the body's muscle groups.

ISBN.NU

Tired of paying too much for school textbooks? Are you looking for the best price on that new book everyone is talking about? Then ISBN.NU is a must visit! Just enter in the ISBN number of the book that you're looking for, and this price comparing website will find out who sells it for less.

Logik-manager
For those of you who enjoy solving "tick and cross" style logic puzzles like the ones found in Dell magazines or Penny press, "P's Logik-Manager" is the perfect replacement for that pencil. Now when you make a mistake, you just make a few clicks with your mouse instead of erasing an entire grid (which wears down those delicate magazine pages).

Spybot
Spyware comes into contact with your computer from promotional programs found on the web (like "Bonzi Buddy" or "Gator"), and you can catch them from websites in the form of a "cookie." Concealed on your computer's hard drive, spyware gathers information on your web browsing habits. If that isn't bad enough, spyware can decrease your computer's performance and increase the rate of crashes. Stomp that spyware with "Spybot S&D" by Patrick Kolla. This free program searches and destroys over THIRTY THOUSAND types of known spyware, and updates are made frequently.

Internet download managerWhen you have a HUGE file to download, just leave it to the "Internet Download Manager." As a total self sufficient program, IDM can even shut the computer down after a file transfer. That makes it ideal for late night downloading, leaving the house, or saving electricity. IDM can also fix broken file transfers. Therefore, you won't have to re-download a file all over again in case something goes wrong. Lots of other features too and it's spyware free. I've used other downloading utilities, but IDM outshined them all. Highly recommended!

Gas price watch
It's no secret that gasoline is expensive, but knowing who sells it for less can be public knowledge with a volunteer operated website called Gas Price Watch. Use this website to seek out all of the gas stations in your town where you can fill up your car without totally emptying your wallet.

Top ten reviews
Toptenreviews.com is just like that consumer reports magazine, with just one major difference: It's free!

Pricegrabber

When I'm searching the web for the best deals on whatever I'm looking to buy, Pricegrabber dot com is my main source for internet savings. Be a thrifty online shopper with pricegrabber!

Craigslist

At Craigslist dot org you'll find all sorts of local related stuff in regards to personal ads, items for sale, services, job openings, and so much more. The local community calendar is so indespensible, you'll never be without plans for the weekend. Once you start using Craigslist dot org, you'll agree that it's the first and last word in online bulletin boards.

Data Doctors Computers are such sophisticated devices, it's a wonder that they even work at all. However, I assure you that sooner or later your computer will become a source of stress by not working properly. When I'm dealing with an error message that I don't know how to fix, I seek advice from the experts at Data Doctors. As long as your troubled computer can provide internet access, the Data Doctors provide free technical support on whatever you need help with. How good are the Data Doctors? As Robocop once said, "they fix everything."

network for good dot org
Network for good dot org has absolutely every type of charitable organization that you can imagine: disaster relief, land mine removal, animal shelters, food banks, and tons more. You can find charities that have volunteer opportunities in your town, make a donation that will help people halfway around the world, and keep informed of the latest global emergencies. At network for good dot org, there are possibilities galore available for you to make a difference here on spaceship Earth.

Balthasar Gracian

In the 17th century, Balthasar Gracian wrote a collection of short essays on how to be successful in life. He consolidated them all into a book entitled "The Art of Worldly Wisdom." Today, you can read all 300 of Gracian's maxims with the convenience of the internet. Whether it's the paperback book on my desk or this website, I read a page from Art of Worldly Wisdom every morning. Our modern world is a radically different place, but Balthasar Gracian's masterpiece continues to stand the test of time.
